Karthi and Director Kannan Joins for a new film ?

If what we heard from the close source is believed to be true, then Karthi will be playing lead role in director Kannan’s next film tentatively titled as ‘Alangaaram’. The film is reported to be a wholesome entertainer and PVP Cinemas is expected to produce.

Director Kannan’s previous film ‘Settai’ released before a couple of months didn’t perform well in box office and indeed received mixed reviews. The director is now working vigorously on this script keeping his fingers crossed.

Nevertheless, the official confirmation from Karthi is yet to be made. At the moment, the actor is simultaneously shooting for Venkat Prabhu’s Biriyani and director Rajesh’s All in All Azhagu Raja. It was expected that Kannan will be directing the Tamil remake of Maryatha Ramana that stars Santhanam in lead role.

Karthi film Paiyaa fetches one crore

Actor Karthi starrer Paiyaa has made one crore out of its remake rights. The film directed by Lingusamy had Tamannaah in the lead and the sparkling chemistry between the two has been a big hit. The film will now be remade in Kannada, Hindi and Bengali. While the Kannada remake will be titled Ajith and will have Chiranjeevi Sarja in the lead, the Bengali remake has already been made with Sonam Chakravarthy and Koel Mullick. With this announcement the speculation about Lingusamy remaking the film in Hindi with Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra has been laid to rest.

Karthi’s All in All Azhaguraja Kick-starts in Jan

Karthi, who is busy with his Venkat Prabhu directing Biriyani, is gearing up to start his ‘All in All Azhaguraja’ from the end of January 2013.

As KT reported viewers earlier, Kajal Agarwal is roped in to pair up with Karthi in ‘All in All Azhaguraja’ once again after Naan Mahan Alla. M. Rajesh will be wielding the megaphone for All in All Azhaguraja that is expected to be a rom-com.

Studio Greens will be producing All in All Azhaguraja with the musical scores of S.S. Thaman
