The Settai team recently filmed for a song at a huge set erected near the airport. The song which is a mass number has been written and sung by Gaana Bala who sang ‘Ninaikuthey’ from Pizza. Premgi has gone retro for the song and newcomer Nakshatra has acted opposite Premgi.

Director Kannan says the original song in Delhi Belly was “vulgar” but this song will be a one that can be viewed by the family audience.

Vishwaroopam, Alex Pandian, KLTA

As the countdown for welcoming New Year has come down to 3 days, Kollywood movie goers are eager about the 2013 Pongal releases. KT is here with the list of Pongal 2013 Tamil releases, namely Kamal’s Vishwaroopam, Karthi’s Alex Pandian and Santhanam’s KLTA are finalized.

Seeing that Kamal Haasan is keen on screening his magnum opus Vishwaroopam on January 11th, KE Gnanavelraja of Studio Green planned to release Karthi, Anushka, Santhanam, Nikhita Thukral and Sanusha’s Alex Pandian on 12th January, followed by Santhanam’s maiden production Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya starring Powerstar Sreenivasan, Sethu and Vishakha Singh.

Theaters started booking Vishwaroopam, Alex Pandian and KLTA, while other films like Vishal’s Samar and Madha Gaja Raja are in league. It is also expected that if any fourth film is planned for 2013 Pongal release, it will get very less screens.

Samar in financial crisis

2012 seems to be unlucky for Vishal and Trisha, as both the stars didn’t enjoy single Tamil release during the year, while their Samar is in postponing spree, due to deep financial crisis.

Buzz making vibes in Kollywood tinsel town that Samar is facing one more case in the court filed by equipment dealers, Anand Cine Services for payment of Rs.1.20cr. While theater owners wanted Samar to clear all the financial problems before the screens are booked, reasoning this Samar might also get postponed once again to dates post Pongal 2013.

Directed by Thiru, Samar music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the soundtracks are highly entertaining the music lovers. Sunaina is also playing one of the lead roles in Samar under Jaya Balaji Real Media banner.

Karthi’s All in All Azhaguraja Kick-starts in Jan

Karthi, who is busy with his Venkat Prabhu directing Biriyani, is gearing up to start his ‘All in All Azhaguraja’ from the end of January 2013.

As KT reported viewers earlier, Kajal Agarwal is roped in to pair up with Karthi in ‘All in All Azhaguraja’ once again after Naan Mahan Alla. M. Rajesh will be wielding the megaphone for All in All Azhaguraja that is expected to be a rom-com.

Actor recommends Raatinam Swathi

Raatinam’s lead pair Laguparan- Swathi are being talked about in the industry for reasons beyond work. Swathi, who has been signed up for ‘Oruvar meedhu iruvar saindhu’ has apparently recommended Laguparan for the male lead. The makers, who till then did not know think of Laguparan have now finalised himas the male lead. A grateful Laguparan wants to repay this gesture back to Swathi nad has been recommending her name to people who offer him the lead role. But directors are sceptical that she is not a glamorous actress. Nevertheless, Laguparan still stickts to stands and tries convincing them that she has great acting skills, which is of utmost importance. Uninterested directors are now thinking twice before they approach him with a role. Sources say that this has affected his career as directors do not approach him fearing recommendation for the actress.

2 Tamil Films in 1st SAFF in Paris

Tamil films are gearing up to make it big internationally. 2012 has seen the screening of many Tamil movies in Film Festivals and latest we hear is Vazhakku Enn 18/9 and Pizza are chosen to be screened in 1st South Asian Film Festival taking place in Paris.

The 1st SAFF happening in Paris will screen movies from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Organizers have planned to monitor films from five different countries, as they want to show that South Asian Film Festival is not only for Bollywood movies.

Along with Balaji Sakthivel’s Vazhakku Enn 18/9 produced by Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers banner and debutant Karthik Sunnaraj directed Pizza starring Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan, other films namely Gurvinder Singh’s Anhey Ghore Da Daan, Ajay Bahl’s B A Pass, Bangladeshi film Udhao by Amit Ashraf and Nepali film Loot by Nischal Basnet are the other contenders.

Onir’s My Brother Nikhil, AR Murugadoss-Suriya’s 7am Arivu – The 7th sense and Abhinay Deo’s Delhi Belly are the 3 other Indian films to be screened under special sections during 1st SAFF in Paris, taking place from 16th to 20th January 2013.

Samantha falls in love

Gorgeous actress Samantha falls in love. The actress has revealed the news in a recent interview to Times of India.

However, Samantha doesn’t want to reveal his name at this point of time but the actress says she is quite happy in her relationship and in a very happy space right now. “We are going very strong and I am very happy. I hope it is extremely permanent,” adds Samantha.

The actress has also informed that she is not going to get married any time sooner and she is enjoying her independence currently.

Samantha has a bunch of films in Telugu and Tamil in 2013 and will soon pair up with Suriya and the film will be directed by N. Lingusamy while enjoying the success of Gautham Menon’s Neethane En Ponvasantham with Jeeva.
